Next adoption update

Because of the long wait at Bethany we decided to look into other adoption agencies. We met a neat couple in Madison that had adopted through Evangelical Child and Family Agency and enjoyed working with them, so we pursued this agency and have decided to go with them. There is no waiting list and it is significantly cheaper than our last adoption because they charge based on a sliding scale according to your income. That is a HUGE blessing from the Lord. So we have submitted our application and are in the long application/reference/home study phase of the adoption.

Next Adoption Story

Our next adoption process has begun, however when we filled out our pre-application we found out there is a lengthy waiting list to get into the domestic program. We are #15 on this waiting list and will not be able to begin any of our paperwork or other needed things until we are contacted. So we wait and get to enjoy every minute of Kaylee-she is almost a year. We will keep you posted!

Adoption Finalization Day

Kaylee's adoption is now finalized and she is legally Kaylee Grace Schampers!! We feel so blessed!! It was an intense 15 minute hearing where Scott and I both had to be sworn in and testify and then the judge ordered the adoption final. It was very emotional to realize the significance of the day. We love our little girl.
